Fit Interview™ Guide
Designed to identify a person’s reactions to job and work environment demands. Rather than determining whether or not a person
can perform the essential functions of the position, job fit interviews focus on the applicant’s reactions, motivations, or
interest in performing the job.
Our Fit Interview™ Guide is organized according to the Work Tolerance demands of the target job (e.g., Tolerance for Working
Under Time Pressure). Each page represents a different Work Tolerance dimension, and contains several structured, behavioral
questions for use by interviewers. Each page also provides a definition for the Work Tolerance dimension, space for recording
applicants' responses and general criteria for evaluating them.

Supplemental materials in the Fit Interview™ Guide include two pages of pre- and post-interview activities, structured
communication evaluation form, and interview rating summary form.
